ELIGIBILTY:

UNH benefits eligible employees may use the USNH Tuition Benefit to enroll in up to a total of 5 Courses (信贷 or 无学分) 每个财政年度 after they have completed their introductory employment period.

一般,  the Staff introductory period is six (6) months;  for Extension Educators it is one (1)  year; and for Faculty it is the completion of two (2) semesters.

The benefit is for courses, not credit hours. The total number of courses covered by the tuition benefit for a full-time employee is five (5) in a fiscal year. The benefit DOES 不 apply to, 短期课程”,“学院, or courses offered by other institutions on campuses of USNH.

• Employee Tuition Benefit 标准: 
  • 信贷 courses - the benefit it is applied towards the registration fee and tuition cost at 100%. 
  • 无学分 courses - the benefit is applied towards registration and tuition at 50%,
    (less the cost of course materials and meals, if applicable)

The USNH Tuition Benefit plan is also available to spouses and legal dependents (24岁以下的) after the employee has been employed for 1 year in a benefits eligible position.

• Employee's Spouse/Dependent Tuition Benefit 标准: 
  • 可以用于 信贷 coursework only and the benefit is applied as 50% of current in-state tuition.

* * *重要的- For eligible employees who request the tuition benefit for their eligible dependents that are admitted as out-of-state students:   If the out-of-state dependent is receiving a merit scholarship (Presidential, Deans or Directors), please note that the amount of the scholarship will be the amount awarded to in-state students since the tuition benefit is based on in-state tuition rates.

税收:

There is no taxation applicable for undergraduate coursework for employees, spouse or dependents.  There are income tax implications for graduate coursework for employees, spouse and dependents.  View  taxation details here.

过程:

Eligible UNH employees complete a Tuition Benefit form 网上申请*通过 明智的.  A request has to be submitted for 每学期 that the benefit is needed for eligible employee and/or their eligible dependent(s).

To access the Tuition Benefit Form, 登录你的 明智的 账户. Once logged in click on 员工服务 and then select the Tuition Benefit Form.

重要的是:  Please note, that completing the online USNH Tuition Benefit request via 明智的 does 不 register an individual for their course work. 

This is only for processing a financial benefit to the student's academic bill.   The student will still need to register for any coursework with the appropriate campus registration office.

也, 一次提交, please plan on approximately 3-5 business days for the benefit to be applied to your bill.
